Los Belones
This Spanish village is nearest to La Manga Club. To reach Los Belones, turn right out of the club, go to the first roundabout, straight over, and turn right at the second roundabout. It offers a wide variety of restaurants and small shops.
Cabo De Palos.
Small fishing village with a marina approximately 15 minutes away and a favorite retreat for the visitors of La Manga Club. Its restaurants and cafes on the seafront are the ideal place to spend the afternoon or evening. Also it is worth a visit to the lighthouse where you can enjoy the view of La Manga strip and the Mediterranean Sea.
Cartagena
Founded by Cartagineses and boasting over 2000 years of history, this Mediterranean city hides fascinating treasures. Tours around Cartegena should be started in its port and continued through el Casco Viejo (old city) with a visit to the Teatro Romano. For those not interested as much in the history and architecture, there are many "Tapas Bars" and plenty of shops within the area.
Murcia
Capital of the province situated 70 kms from La Manga Club. Its cathedral with its stunning Spanish Baroque Facade is worth visiting. Murcia also offers the widest range of shops and restaurants in the area.
Street Markets
Every village and city becomes a market one morning a week. It is the place where you can buy everything from shoes, crafts and local specialities, fruits and vegetables. The largest street market in the area is the one in Cabo de Palos, taking place every Sunday. It is especially renowned for ceramics and other crafts.
